CURRENT PROJECT
I am primarily concentrating upon a romance novel set in the Regency period in England. I expect to be finished with it by October, if all goes according to plan.
My favorite project is my fantasy series called Book of Light, which takes place over centuries of time in a made-up world, and spans four novels. It has a foundation in its own mythology, with its own sort of deities. I also have created part of a language for the series. All four volumes' plots are already outlined, and I hope to finish the first novel some time before 2010. I recently wrote a description of the series, for the curious.
I have a wide range of tastes when it comes to writing, and I am also working on a fairly large assortment of other stories as well.
At last count:
Nine Regency historical romances, two contemporary romances, four paranormal contemporary romances (gods and goddesses), one paranormal time-traveling romance involving contemporary and Regency historical. One historical novella.
Six fantasy books (two stand-alones and a series with four planned volumes).
Three children's books.
All in all, twenty-two novels, one novella and three children's books.
I did not include the throw-away stories which I started and then later decided weren't worth the trouble; there were tons of those as well. I keep them around to take phrases and such from them. It's good to recycle viable pieces of things you don't need. :P
I counted only viable planned novels for which I had already written a goodly amount, which I actually plan to someday write in full.
Well, I have often said that inspiration was never a problem. I have always had ideas. I don't think I've ever had writer's block.
I also write songs (lyrics and melody both) which are performed with my friend Melissa. (She also writes some of the songs.) Our 'band' is called the Flaming Sisters. The songs are the sort you'd sing in a pub or at a rennaisance fair, in the filk genre.
